Registration: All Bassetoodles are registrable with the International Designer Canine Registry and are eligible for full registration and pedigree services.

The International Designer Canine Association recognized and began recording registration for the Bassetoodle in 2009.

Hybrid Origin:  The Bassetoodle is a hybrid between the Basset Hound and the Poodle.

Erroneous Alias:  Bassetdoodle

Country of Origin:  Bassetoodles originate in the United States of America.

Original Purpose:  The Bassetoodle is a great family companion.

Breed Characteristics:  Bassetoodles generally are loving and very friendly towards humans and other animals.

Bassetoodles can be moderately stubborn but with positive reinforcement are fairly easy to train.

Bassetoodles commonly thrive on human companionship.

Bassetoodles tend to get along well with other dogs, but must remain leashed, as they are hounds and will follow a scent.

Life Expectancy:  Average life expectance for the Bassetoodle is 10 - 12 years.
