Country of Origin:  Basschshunds originate in the United States of America.

Original Purpose:  The Basschshund is a loyal family companion.

Breed Characteristics:  Basschshunds are considered average shedders.

Basschshunds make great indoor pets.

The Basschshund tends to do well in apartments provided they are exercised daily.

Basschshunds are commonly considered very healthy dogs.

The Basschshund can be stubborn but should be trained early.
